The Piccolo Fund's special partnership with Rush University Medical Center in Chicago began in 1991 and has resulted in numerous innovations in cancer detection and treatment. The comprehensive cancer program at Rush relies on translational research findings, supported by organizations such as the Piccolo Fund, to enhance clinical care for patients and, ultimately, to find a cure for cancer.
The opening of a beautiful, new 55,000 square foot outpatient cancer facility in early 2011 will bring together all of Rush's cancer programs in one area. This will increase convenience for patients and further facilite the integrated model of patient care for which Rush is known. Learn more about Rush's cancer programs at www.rush.edu.
